Creating a better model to inspire better solutions.
Tasked with the challenge of creating a better gas station experience to serve as a model for all of BP’s 20,000 stations, Helios House was born.
Sustainable building practices were the focus as we directed the design process from inception: partner selection and management to station concepts and branding.
Helios House was the first gas station submitted for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification— the result is an energy efficient structure aware of its own paradox that still seeks to reduce its impact and serve as a laboratory for better building strategies.
